Android pilot
The Android app (version 0.3.2) is in Google Play testing for invited testers. There is no public Play release or public testing link yet. We do not ask you to disable Play Protect to install MyClippy.
Mac and Windows companions
Mac is packaged as a drag-to-Applications DMG; Windows is an installer inside a ZIP. Mac requires Apple silicon and macOS 13 or later: open the DMG, drag MyClippy to Applications, then open it from Applications. It is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. If blocked, follow the Sentinel setup below. Windows requires x64: extract the ZIP and run the MyClippy setup EXE. The Windows app is unsigned and may trigger security warnings. Keep the desktop app open and connect your Android app on the same trusted private Wi-Fi.
Opening the Mac pilot with Sentinel
First drag MyClippy from the DMG into Applications. Download Sentinel from its official project using the link above, open it and choose its app-specific unquarantine action. Drag MyClippy from Applications into that drop target, then open MyClippy. This removes the downloaded-app quarantine flag for the app you selected; it does not make MyClippy Apple-notarized. Keep Gatekeeper enabled, and do not use any global disable option. Sentinel is a separate third-party utility. If Sentinel itself cannot open, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway for MyClippy instead.
Opening the Windows pilot
Download the x64 ZIP, choose Extract All in File Explorer, and open the extracted MyClippy setup EXE. It installs for your account, adds a Start-menu shortcut and an entry in Installed apps for uninstalling. Quit any running MyClippy from its tray menu before updating. No separate .NET runtime or administrator launch is required. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen says “Windows protected your PC” for an unrecognized app, verify that your download came from getmyclippy.com. If you trust this pilot and Windows offers it, select More info, then Run anyway. This is a decision about this app, not a request to switch off Windows security.
When Windows blocks opening
Windows 11 Smart App Control, Windows in S mode, or organization-managed security policies may prevent this unsigned pilot from running. A Run anyway option is not guaranteed. Do not disable Defender, Smart App Control or your firewall, and do not add antivirus exclusions. If Windows reports a specific malware detection rather than an unknown-publisher warning, stop and send the detection name to support. This pilot has not been verified on every Windows configuration.
Windows network access
Use the same trusted private Wi-Fi on your devices. If Windows Firewall asks, allow MyClippy on the Private network profile used for this test. Keep Public network access disabled. Guest-network isolation, VPNs or blocked local discovery can prevent connection. Closing the app window leaves it running in the system tray; choose Quit there to stop it.
Before testing
Use only trusted private Wi-Fi and harmless sample text. The pilot currently allows reachable MyClippy installations to join without device approval. Android automatic copying is experimental and requires optional Accessibility setup. Read the privacy policy and setup guides before testing.
